Hoa Anh Đào. Spring Heart. QS
Spring Heart
Fluttering buds awaken by the warm wind
Of the nascent Spring that’s flirting
With the blossoms still shy in their maiden gowns
Delicate half smiles or wide opening arms
Welcoming the longing looks of admirers.
Fragile as they might appear
The cherry petals could not bear
To be picked at random out of a whim…
They need to be adored with a whimsical ritual
That calls for lasting love in a dual
With loyal and life long friendships.
O savage wind, cast thou not thy wrath
On my subtle limbs or budding petals
Let me shower all my love to the mortals!
Q.S.
